Thanks for stopping by!  My name is Carrie Lowe and I am a freelance writer.  I am fortunate enough to work from home and I also homeschool our children.  I took a risk a few years ago and quit my job as a manager at McDonald’s due to some problems and jumped into a career as a freelance writer at home and have not looked back since.  January will make my 2-year anniversary at home and I am loving this a lot.I have two children, both girls.  Zoey is my oldest and she is 5, my youngest is Angel and she is 4.  Angel is also referred to as Lucifer due to her personality but we love her to death.  She’s extremely smart, but loves to cause trouble and hates to sit still no matter what.

Jerry and I have been together for 8 years, and we are looking forward to getting married on September 9, 2009! :)  We have done so much together and have come a very long way. We are eagerly looking forward to doing so much more as well.

We are the proud owners of a cat, teddy bear hamster, a cocker spaniel mix and 3 fabulous yorkies.  We all live together happily most of the time. :) I look forward to sharing my experiences with you, and also look forward to hearing back from people exactly how you are surviving and succeeding ass a homeschooling parent.

Who Am I?

I suppose that everyone is rather interested in exactly who am I and what gives me the right to sit around and talk about homeschooling.  The answer is sometimes surprising, but frequently the true answers are surprising in many situations.

I am a 25 year old mother of two young children.  My daughters are named Zoey and Angel, they are 5 and 4 respectively and both thoroughly enjoy learning at home with the freedom that homeschooling affords.  I work from home as well as their father so we are all able to enjoy an extremely flexible lifestyle and enjoy sharing a lot of experiences together.

As a parent I have always wanted to homeschool. This was not a situation that was up for negotation when I was pregnant, much less now.  As a child, I have experienced private school, public school and also homeschooling.  I enjoyed my time in public school due to my attendance at a performing arts school studying dance extensively but my favorite times were at home.

Due to my previous personal experience as the student, and my experience now as the parent/teacher I feel that I have quite a bit to offer to others who are getting started and those who need a bit of reassurance.
